I had to pinch myself… While images created with any digital device including smartphones are welcome, the Nikon 2014-2015 photo contest “will not be accepting any entries taken on film.”
Yes, that’s right folks, according to the submission guidelines, film photographs are no longer accepted by Nikon!
I suppose it had to happen, but you know, I think they will have to at some time in the not too distant future change that rule. They are going against the trend. I reckon that somebody is going to start making film cameras again..given all the “retro” stuff going on right now. Stupid rule anyway
You would think that smartphones would be the threat to them, not film. Hard to tell the reasoning behind this decision.
well I can’t see any sense at all to it..i mean you and heaps of others use Nikon film cameras (and why not? best things ever invented, though I no longer use film). In fact imagine how it would go for them if they introduced a new film camera for that “niche” market.? silly people methinks haha
