Dear Diary – May 25, 2026 – Waiting for rain

I’m hoping some of this rain passes over our house. It hasn’t rained in months. Our water collection system is ready and waiting. I talked to Jott this morning. He’s still trying to get his knee surgery. Old Jott. He’s on a fixed income of less than $900.00 and he still finds the room to send $10.00 every month to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. This is why Jott is my friend. I still find myself crying at times thinking about my Trudie. What a dog she was. She has changed my life.
