All of the people that have died in Afghanistan over the past 20 yave died in vain because it was an absolutely ridiculous idea from the beginning. Even the Taliban was surprised how fast the government collapsed. From what I understand, the plan was to pull out and let the Afghan army take control of things. That didn’t work out so well. I don’t blame Biden for the situation in Afghanistan. I blame the neoconservatives and the Christian Nationalists, that’s where 99.9% of the blame should be placed.
