Concrete ghettos roll across the urban prairie like aftershocks from some fantastic social quake.

There is a cold indifference to a city, a sort of hardened callus that forms over the pavement. The bricks stare down at the morning workers as they shuffle along grinding sidewalks.

Suits glare down from glass hi-rise cathedrals at the relentless struggle down below…
