Chicago social documentary photography – Heroin addiction is a horrific personal and social tragedy whenever and wherever it strikes. The addiction not only impacts the addict, but also family and friends. There are multiple reasons as to how people become hooked on drugs such as heroin. Some of these reasons are genetic and biological, others are environmental.
What are your thoughts concerning Shaggy and his addiction? Did his parents seem somewhat enabling to you? What about the police and treatment centers? Did Shaggy seem to show any remorse for any of the things he had done? Did you notice how many times he went to “treatment” with no success at all? What are your impressions?
