NO CROP Street Photography –
What percentage of your street photos have been cropped? I notice a lot of cropped images these days, including several people who crop almost every image, after shooting from the hip! This, is NOT how to approach street photography.
If you crop more than 2% of your street photos, you’re cheating and not really doing street photography. I would bet that at least 80% of the “street photos” we see today, have been cropped.
If you are cropping as part of your workflow, then you’ve developed a bad habit. In order to move forward, you’ll need to STOP cropping, frame correctly from the beginning, and GET CLOSER!!!
