Dear Diary – March 28, 2026

Spread the love

It’s early morning, and the wind is still blowing. I was hoping it would have settled down by now. We had a doozy of a windstorm all day yesterday with winds reaching 60mph. I feel sorry for the people out here in tents. I thought we might lose our stovepipe, but it hung in there.

I’m photographing this cool dude later today. He lives in this shack that I have wanted to photograph ever since I saw it last year. He’s a rough-looking character with a face that shows he has lived life on the wilder side. I love the project I’m currently working on called Life On The Llano.

I’ve been putting serious time into my Alley Boys book. It has been rather emotional at times looking through all the images and listening to the audio recordings that I captured over the years.

I had to start a little fire to take the chill out of the air.

Wind seems to be lying down a bit now.

Water is steaming.

Time for coffee.

Good morning!
