Street photography and visual illiteracy

I’m not exactly sure what happened, but visiting online street photography groups to look at photos has become a journey to the local landfill to try to find diamonds. 99% of the images that I see in these groups are nothing more than visual pollution. Visual illiteracy has obviously become a significant issue in the postmodern street photography community.
