Getting my bath ready while listening to Willie Nelson under the glow of our new oil lamps. I wish all of you a day worth living, a mile worth walking, and a smile worth giving. Good morning America! When I was a boy I would go outside in the middle of the night to smoke cigarettes on the side of my mom and dad’s house. I’d listen to the hum of the I-80 interstate while the words of Willie Nelson songs whispered in my head. I’d dream about the world “out there” beyond the highway. Where did that highway lead? Did it ever end? I’d dream about all the places to go, all the people to meet. Now I’m 59, still listening to Willie, still dreaming dreams, but with a few miles behind me down that once new and unknown highway.
