Around 300 protesters took to the streets of Chicago in the wake of first-degree murder charges that were brought against police officer, Jason Van Dyke, who shot and killed 17-year-old Laquan McDonald in October 2014. A dashcam video of the shooting was also released earlier Tuesday evening, which sparked the protest.

Full Dashcam Video of Officer Jason Van Dyke Shooting Laquan McDonald

It looks like Jason Van Dyke should have been removed from the Chicago police force long before he fired 16 shots into Laquan McDonald. Over the past 15 years, Van Dyke had some 20 complaints filed against him.
